Formerly Westwood Masseuse, Soma House reflects the natural evolution of Farnaz Farrokhi’s work from body-based healing into full-time clinical counselling.
Farnaz’s journey began with bodywork. Growing up in a war-torn country and later recovering from a serious car accident, she experienced firsthand how massage, movement, and mindfulness could restore mobility, ease tension, and support emotional well-being. With certifications in deep tissue massage, myofascial release, Ayurvedic head massage, trigger point therapy, vagus nerve stimulation, and cupping, Farnaz developed a holistic approach to addressing both stress and physical discomfort. Her sessions emphasized not only relaxation but also the profound connection between body and mind.
In April 2025, Farnaz completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology and became a licensed counsellor. As a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), she now works with clients across British Columbia and in unregulated provinces.
Welcoming Jacqueline Guerrier
As Farnaz transitions into full-time counselling, we are delighted to welcome Jacqueline Guerrier to Soma House. Jacqueline is a graduate of Vancouver Island University’s Esthetics and Spa Therapy Certificate Program with experience in relaxation and deep tissue massage. Under Farnaz’s mentorship, she is expanding her skills in somatic massage techniques, offering clients a warm, restorative, and client-centred space tailored to their needs.
With Gratitude
We are deeply thankful for your trust and support through this transition. Your encouragement has made it possible for Soma House to grow into a holistic space of healing, and we look forward to continuing to support your well-being in meaningful ways.
