Farnaz Farrokhi, founder of Westwood Masseuse, is a skilled bodyworker specializing in deep-tissue massage, Ayurvedic head massage, and trigger-point therapy. While she is not a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), her hands-on approach promotes deep relaxation and relieves chronic tension—please check your HSA/WSA or benefits provider to confirm coverage.

Building on this integrative philosophy, Westwood Masseuse is now operating under  Soma House Counselling & Wellness. After completing her MA in Counselling Psychology in April 2025, Farnaz became a licensed Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. At Soma House, she now offers client-centred counselling alongside holistic nutrition and restorative somatic yoga through her associates—available in person across British Columbia and virtually in unregulated provinces. If your plan covers CCC services, you can submit receipts for reimbursement.

In accordance with ethical guidelines, clients must choose either massage or counselling services for each appointment—these options cannot be combined or alternated.

While Farnaz at Westwood Masseuse is not an RMT, it's worth noting that her services may be covered if you have a Health Spending Account (HSA) or Wellness Spending Account (WSA). Please verify with your benefits provider for further information. Although Westwood Masseuse doesn't offer direct billing services, invoices will be provided for submission to your benefits provider.

Joining Westwood Masseuse's waitlist is a convenient way to secure an appointment if she is booked up. The  booking site allows clients to add themselves to the waitlist from either the Online Booking site or their My Account. On the Online Booking site, you can find the waitlist options below the list of treatments or under the schedule on a specific practitioner's page.

Once you're on the waitlist, you'll receive automatic notifications when an appointment becomes available.

When you book with Westwood Masseuse, that time is reserved just for you. I understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please give at least 24 hours' notice for weekday appointments to avoid being charged the full amount. For weekend appointments, a 48-hour notice is required. Emergencies will always be taken into consideration.  You can cancel online through your Jane account, by email (info@westwoodmasseuse.ca) or by phone (604-441-6382, and yes I promise that I live in Nanaimo!).

Clients who miss appointments will be billed 100% of their scheduled appointment. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please refer to the cancellation policy outlined above.
